John Coleman, born October 12, 1962, is the manager of English League Two side Accrington Stanley. In the past seven seasons with the club, he has won three promotions, most recently a return to the Football League after winning the Football Conference in the 2005/06 season for which he won the Conference Manager of the Season award. He is also the club's longest ever serving manager.
Coleman had a long playing career, mainly in the lower reaches of the English football league for Kirby Town F.C., Burscough F.C., Marine F.C., Southport F.C., Runcorn FC Halton, Macclesfield Town, Morecambe F.C., Lancaster City F.C. and Ashton United F.C., although he did have a short spell in Wales with Rhyl F.C.. He was one of the most prolific non-league goalscorers in history, with over 500 goals to his name in a career spanning almost two decades.
His many honours included caps for the England semi-professional national team, the England National Game XI as well as numerous Player Of The Season awards at his many clubs.
