John Brewer

Bishop John (Jack) Brewer was the fourth Bishop of Lancaster, in the northwest of England.
He was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Shrewsbury, where he later became Auxiliary Bishop.
Bishop Brewer was installed as Bishop of Lancaster on 22 May 1985 following the retirement of Bishop Brian Charles Foley, with whom he served for a time as Coadjutor Bishop.
He died of Cancer, while still in office, on 10 June 2000 and was succeeded on 4 July 2001 by Bishop Patrick O'Donoghue.
