John Boyne

John Boyne (born April 30, 1971) is an Irish novelist. He read English at Trinity College, Dublin, and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, where he was awarded the Curtis Brown prize. He is the author of five novels, as well as a number of short stories which have been published in various anthologies and broadcast on radio and television. His novels have been translated into 22 languages. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a New York Times Bestseller. Boyne resides in Dublin.
