John N. Autry (born March 16, 1953) is one of the possible Democratic candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives seat in the Eighth Congressional district of North Carolina (map), in the 2006 elections. The Eighth district stretches from Charlotte to Fayetteville. Robin Hayes, a Republican, has held the Eighth District seat since 1999. The Democratic Primary for North Carolina will take place on May 2, 2006, and will determine whether John Autry, Larry Kissell, or Mark Ortiz will ultimately be Hayes's Democratic challenger.

John Autry lost the Democratic Primary on May 2, 2006, to Larry Kissell.
