Johannes Sittard

Dr. Johannes Sittard is the Chief Executive Officer of Eurasian National Resources Corporation (ENRC Group), one of the world's largest private mining groups with it's main assets in Kazakh metals and minerals. ENRC is owned by Patokh Chodiev, Alexander Mashkevich and Alijan Ibragimov. Dr. Sittard has extensive experience in the Natural Resource and Steel Industry, having worked in the business for over twenty five years. Dr. Sittard is also a Member of the Supervisory Board of ENRC and Chairman of International Mineral Resources.

Dr. Sittard commenced his career as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Iron and Steel at the Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany (1971-1978). He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Iron and Steelmaking from Technical University, Berlin. He also has a Doctorate in Metallurgy and a Master’s Degree in Iron and Steelmaking from Clausthal-Zellerfeld University. Before joining ENRC Group, Dr. Sittard was the President and Chief Operating Officer of ISPAT International NV (currently known as Mittal Steel).
