Johanne James

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johanne James is the drummer for British progressive metal band Threshold. He joined the band officially, replacing Mark Heaney, in 2001, to record the album Hypothetical, after having toured with the band in support of the albums Extinct Instinct and Clone.

He now fronts the three-piece band Kyrb Grinder, in which he is also the drummer. His impeccable ability to both sing and play abstract drum beats make the band's unique selling point rather special. They fuse influences from reggae, fusion, metal and rock genres and they class themselves as progressive rock/metal band and can be loosely compared to Biomechanical and Dream Theater.

Gigs that the band have played in the year 2005/06 include the Bloodstock Open Air festival (billed as the headliner for the second stage) and the Bulldog Bash, as well as a host of other gigs in all regions of the UK.

They will soon release the follow-up to What About Me with Horseshoes and Hand Grenades.
