Johanne Elisabeth Agerskov

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Johanne Agerskov, 1873-1948, full name Johanne Elisabeth Agerskov. Danish, born in Copenhagen. Together with her husband, Michael Agerskov, 1870-1933, she was the intermediary who succeeded in receiving the work of Toward the Light! and supplementary works (Hilsen til Danmark (1913) - Greetings to Denmark; The Doctrine of Atonement and the Shorter Road (1920); Questions and Answers I and II (1929-30)).

The nature of her work being so delicate, and because of the chance of her becoming the object of a kind of "hero worship" from people who perhaps would not understand her part as a mere intermediary of the work of Toward the Light and connected books, in her late years, Johanne Agerskov expressed the wish that her image should in no way be connected with the work of Toward the Light. Therefore, the author of this article will not publish any photos of Johanne Agerskov, in compliance with her own wish.
