[edit] POV issues

There are some very biased statements on this page.

Specifically: "He is known for being one of the league's best young centers and power forwards of limitless potential. Nicknamed "Jumbo Joe" for his large-body frame, Thornton is well-recognized for his passing prowess, incredible on-ice vision, and ability to make silky-smooth plays."

Opinions of him were not nearly so glowing in Boston. Admittedly, he has talent. But he was considered by many to be a disappointment, never really delivering on the promised potential (drafted first overall). [there are also those who believe the guy is a huge douche bag, but that's neither here nor there..]

Naturally, there is some bias to those views as well. Also granted, he has had a lot more success in San Jose. Not knowing wiki's guidelines on things like this, it seems that both sides of the coin should be acknowledged, or the article should be a lot more neutral than it currently is. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.241.217.15 (talkcontribs).

That can be taken care of. I'll probably get to it soon. –NeoChaosX [talk | contribs] 23:29, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Let us not all forget that he was after all named the MVP of the league. So basically it is saying he is the best in the league. I think, that based on the quotes used, then yes, the article has some bias.
