From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Joey Kitson from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island was the vocalist for Rawlins Cross.
In 2006 he was a featured performer in the Charlottetown Festival's production of Canada Rocks at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
Joe Kitson is no stranger to the bright lights of the mainstage, having performed in some of Prince Edward Islands biggest bands (Rock Island Blues Band, Black Cat Bone (band), Poppa Shine, Jive Kings and Big City, to name a few) as well as being a Juno Award nominee & a three-time ECMA award winner for his tenure in Rawlins Cross.
Mr.Kitson has recently been heard with Canadian piano phenom Doug Riley (Bob Seger, Ray Charles, Ringo Starr, Gordon Lightfoot). Riley, who is affectionately known as 'Dr. Music' has recently been awarded the Order of Canada. Riley’s addition of Joey Kitson to his Jazz Trio is yet another highlight in what is sure to be a long and distinguished musical career, from one of PEI’s most celebrated vocalists.
