Moon played his two career NRL games for the ‘2006 baby Broncos’ after joining fellow teenager David Taylor as the first Broncos that were not born when the club burst onto the scene in 1988.

The talented five-eighth/lock debuted in round 14 against South Sydney Rabbitohs before impressing Broncos coach Wayne Bennett as a fill-in centre in round 17 when he kept Cronulla Sharks' Test no.4 Nigel Vagana at bay in the Broncos' memorable 26-12 win.

Moon, a product of Caloundra, played the rest of the 2006 season with feeder team Toowoomba Clydesdales, who he helped reach the Queensland Cup Grand Final after scoring nine tries.

Like Taylor, the former Australian schoolboys representative from Morayfield High School starred for Queensland under 19s against New South Wales in the curtain raiser to the State of Origin series opener in May. He had previously toured Britain with the Australian Institute of Sport at the end of 2005.
