Joel Held, is an artist/composer and raised in Papendrecht, Netherlands. Joel started his musical education at age seven at the Algemeene Muziek School in the [Netherlands]. Upon arriving in the U.S. He studied under and pianist Rosario Lerma, and Dr. Imre Szilas at the Pasadena Conservatory of Music, Pasadena, CA. Joel has been a professional church [musician] for over 15 years.

Joel sung with Pasadena City College Gospel choir under the direction of Betty Griffin Keller where in 1996 the choir went on the win 3rd place at the Disneyland sponsored McDonalds Gospel Fest. And sang on the Jerry Lewis telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)

Joel has been on outreach tours in Europe and Asia He has written over 150 songs,

Joel has worked for the Pasadena Unified School District almost 8 years, in the capacity of Choir director, Drama teacher, and English through music practitioner.

Joel's has also recorded 2 CD’s and is currently on staff at [Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church,] Rancho Cucamonga, CA as worship leader.
