Joe Mantell (born December 21, 1920 in New York City) is an American actor. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as "Angie" in the 1955 film Marty, which earned the Best Picture Award. Mantell's co-star, Ernest Borgnine, won the Oscar for Best Actor.
