She was born Jody Ann Klassen in Woodridge, Queensland, Australia. She began her adult career as a stripper at Rogue's nightclub before later working as a featured stripper in Australia and other Pacific Rim nations. She began modeling for men's magazines in 2000 and began her adult film career in 2001 with Liquid Gold. This was despite her mother's wishes not to have sex before she has a ring placed on her finger.

In 2002 she was awarded a Venus Award for Best Actress - U.S.A. She also has her own adult toy line called Jodie Moore's Signature Toys. In 2003 she underwent minor breast enlargement surgery. She is also a mother.

Moore has had longtime political aspirations, running first for a local office in Queensland and twice, unsuccessfully, for the Australian senate, in 2001 and 2004. In her first campaign, Moore captured 5 percent of the vote; her second campaign netted 3.2 percent of the vote. She plans to run again.

On May 2, 2006, Moore appeared on the Howard Stern Show promoting a Norelco product that can shave any area of the male anatomy. She demonstrated the shaver's efficacy by shaving Beetlejuice's scrotum and then allowing him lay his testicles on her face (called Teabagging), although he did not actually put his testicles in her mouth.
