Jocelyn Jee Esien

Jocelyn Jee Esien (born March 2, 1977 in London, UK) is a British comedian, who is famous for appearing in the BBC hidden camera show, 3 Non Blondes. In addition to this she has also appeared in The Fast Show and Holby City. In 2006 she wrote and starred in her own comedy sketch show called Little Miss Jocelyn which currently airs on BBC3 and is available through Internet streaming. The show features characters such as the first female president of the United States and an office worker who is trying to conceal the fact that she is black. Jocelyn is the first black woman in the history of television in either the USA or the UK to be given her own solo comedy show. In 2000, she won the Best Newcomer award at the Black International Comedy Awards.

Jocelyn started on the comedy circuit when a friend persuaded her to try stand-up at a comedy night at the Hackney Empire venue in London. She stayed on stage for nearly an hour.
