Jo Brand (born 3 May 1957) is a British feminist comedian.

I'm just wondering what justuification there could be for calling JB a "feminist" comedian? Flapdragon 22:47, 15 September 2005 (UTC)

I was just wondering the exact same thing. As far as I can see, the feminist tag comes purely from the way she looked durng her early career. Speaking as a more-than-averagely sexist man, who has heard her material over the years, and seen her live once, I'm sure that if she were a real feminist she would have said something by now that I could take issue with. Most of the so-called feminist material in her act is in the set-up of the jokes – and is punctured by the punchline. In fact, men are less likely to be the targets of her jokes than women (particularly herself), and her 'anti-men' jokes are usually gentler than typical male 'anti-women' jokes. So, as there doesn't seem to be a strong feeling here that Jo is a feminist comedian, I shall remove the word from the article. Grant 13:13, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

I have taken off the external link because I don't believe that Wikipedia should be advertising. I dont think the link is of benefit to someone wanting to research into Jo Brand.
