Jo Anne Paul (born to Arthur and Esther Pawlowski in Wayne, MI as Jo Anne Pawlowski). Jo Anne Pawlowski began working as a consumer reporter for WXYZ-AM in Detroit, MI.

She then took a job at WAAM-AM in Ann Arbor, MI where she conducted live interviews and anchored mid-day newscasts. She then returned to WXYZ-AM in Detroit to conduct morning news, where she was the youngest person ever to go on air at WXYZ. Jo Anne entered the television news business in 1984 when she signed on as a 6 o'clock and 11 o'clock news anchor for WEYI-TV 25 in Flint, MI. Jo Anne continued writing and anchoring weeknight news for WEYI until she took a job at WLNS-TV 6 in Lansing, MI. There, Jo Anne wrote and anchored the morning and noon newscasts to a broad fan base. She worked at WLNS until 1996, when her husband Terry Stanton took an evening news anchor/reporter position at WTMJ-TV 4 in Milwaukee, WI, and Jo Anne went with him. Jo Anne returned to Michigan and WLNS-TV 6 in January of 1999 again anchoring the morning and noon newscasts until she resigned her position in October of 2000. In April of 2002, Jo Anne agreed to host a cable TV show with Wharton Center Spokesman Bob Hoffman. The show was cut due to funding issues in December of 2002. In February of 2004, Jo Anne was hired by Citadel Broadcasting in Lansing to co-host a morning talk radio show on News/Talk 1240 WJIM-AM with long time WFMK-FM radio host Mark Bashore. Bashore left WJIM-AM in June of 2005. Citadel moved Paul to 94.9 WMMQ-FM to do news with morning-talk radio host Tim Barron. Paul was moved back to AM-radio news that month. Jo Anne is currently the afternoon news anchor for Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM-AM (Citadel Broadcasting) in Lansing.

She is married to Deputy Spokesperson for Governor Granholm, Terry Stanton and they have 3 children, Brent (16), Ryan (13) and Christopher (10). The family resides in Ingham County's Williamstown Township.

NOTE-Jo Anne Paul-Stanton became her legal name when she had it changed. Paul is believed to be derived from a shortened version of 'Pawlowski', Paul's maiden name.
