João Batista da Silva

João Batista da Silva, best known as Batista (born in Porto Alegre, March 8, 1955) is a former Brazilian football (soccer) player in defensive midfielder role.
For Brazil national football team he got 38 internacional caps from 1978 to 1983, never scored goals. He played also in two edition of FIFA World Cup, in 1978 and 1982.
