Jô (João Alves de Assis Silva), born March 23, 1987 in São Paulo is a Brazilian football (soccer) striker, signed with Corinthians. He began his professional career in 2003, at the age of 16. In 2006, while still a teenager, Jo signed with CSKA Moscow and has taken the Russian League by storm. In his debut season in Russia Jo has already scored 21 goals in just his first 25 appearances in the Russian Premier League and Parlament Russian Super Cup, which his new club won.
