[edit] Re First Choice (pay-tv)
Thanks for your contributions in this article. I'd just like to point out that on Wikipedia, normally we treat TV channels that have used different brand names as a single channel (and discuss them in a single article). See, for instance, TVtropolis and MTV Canada, which were both rebranded / reprogrammed recently. I don't have time at the moment but I will probably be merging in the content into The Movie Network in the near future - alternatively, you can do so yourself if you wish. Any questions about this, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again! — stickguy (:^›)— home - talk - 23:47, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Also, the content you've posted above might go better on your user page. Click the red "user page" link above to see what I mean. The page you're on now is your talk page and is intended for discussion with other contributors. — stickguy (:^›)— home - talk - 23:50, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
OK, no problem. I merged it tonight. Feel free to edit it further. What do I do with the First Choice (pay-tv) artice now? --Jimj wpg 03:04, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Taken care of it - I've changed it to a redirect. — stickguy (:^›)— home - talk - 18:24, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Superchannel-paytv.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Superchannel-paytv.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:12, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] C Channel
The first paragraph in the C Channel article, under the Hours section indicated the broadcast week was divided 40% + 40% + 30% which adds to up 110% - could those numbers be rechecked? Meanwhile, thanks for the major content contributions to the C Channel article. Dl2000 14:17, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Manitoba Telecom Services
I see you imported text from winnipedia. Unfortunately, winnipedia doesn't list its content distribution license. (Wikipedia expressly uses the GNU Free Documentation License. If you can't get permission to reproduce from winnipedia, your edits will need to be reverted (i.e., copyvio).
In addition, there are a number of broken image links. If you upload these to Wikipedia, you'll need to get permission or show a permissive license. -- Robocoder (talk | contribs) 19:19, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

- Excuse me, but I wrote most of the text about Manitoba Telecom Services on the Winnipedia site. The Winnipedia site, administered by Alex Reid was just started in February 2006. He has still to add some elements to the site, such as image use copyright tags, etc... I hereby release all text written by myself from Winnipedia re: Manitoba Telecom Services to Wikipedia. There I said it. -- Jimj wpg 20:05, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification. I'm going to cleanup the article as there's now some duplication and style inconsistency. I'll comment out the image tags until you can resolve them. -- Robocoder (talk | contribs) 22:42, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CHMI history
Although at some point in time that Videon had MTN on channel 8, and GWC/Shaw had MTN on channel 13 before 1995, I am almost certain that prior to 1995 this was not always the case. I do not know too much information as to the placements of MTN on Videon or GWC in its early years, and if you can clear that up, that would be appreciated. Thanks. --PsychoJason 23:23, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Northpine.com
I will be considering contributing to their website in the future, but since you have an archive of old videos as well, maybe you can contribute some TV screengrabs to Northpine.com. I would recommend using VLC Media Player, as that program allows you to take snapshots. Just suggesting... --PsychoJason 23:25, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Naplps1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Naplps1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
