Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues: Jimi Hendrix is the ten track companion release to the critically acclaimed series Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues shown on PBS in September 2003. Special Jimi Hendrix title features 2 previously unreleased Blues inspired performances including "Georgia Blues" (recorded on March 19, 1969 at New York's Record Plant Studios). This previously unreleased studio recording was recorded with saxophonist Lonnie Youngblood, whom Hendrix joined in the studio for his first recordings in 1963. Also featured on this special 10-track release is the unreleased "Blue Window" recorded in March 1969 at Mercury Studios in New York. This track features Buddy Miles on drums, Duane Hitchings (organ), Bill Rich (bass) and brass players Tobie Wynn, James Tatum, Bobby Rock, Tom Hall, and Pete Carter.
