Jimmy Raye

Jimmy Arthur Raye (born November 24, 1968 in Fayetteville, North Carolina) is a former National Football League player.

Jimmy Raye is the son of Jimmy Raye II, who is today the running back coach for the New York Jets. While attending Irvine High School in Irvine, California, Raye lettered in football, basketball, and track. In football, Raye won All-League and All-CIF honors as a defensive back and was also the team's starting quarterback.

Raye attended San Diego State and was a letterman in football as a wide receiver. He finished eighth on the school's all-time receiving list, racking up 111 catches.

His National Football League career began when he signed a free-agent contract with the Los Angeles Rams. He ended up playing in the final two games of the season.
He currently is employed by the San Diego Chargers.
