Jimmy Hanley (22 October 1918-13 January 1970) was an English actor.

James Hanley was born in Norwich, Norfolk. He began as a child actor, before becoming popular in juvenile roles. He was a good natured actor, who was groomed by the Rank Studio system during his teenage years. He earned film stardom as 'a boy next door type' in exuberant musicals and likeable musicals. He later worked on TV, hosting the ITV series Jim's Inn, which combined advertising messages within the plot of a soap opera.

He died from cancer in Leatherhead, Surrey, aged 51.
