Jim "Turbo" Kirby

Turbo started organ lessons with the church organist at the age of six. He played the organ in church, then started a Rock n' Roll combo when in high school. He received a music scholarship and went to Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. He played with numerous top acts all through the '60s and '70s and got the famous call to play with Roy Orbison in the early '80s. Turbo stayed with Roy until Roy’s untimely death in ’88. He continues to play with named artists and records as a studio musician regularly.
