Jim Sturgess

James Sturgess is a British actor most famous for playing the younger Charlie in The Quest series of TV movies.

He is a former member of the National Youth Music Theatre(1993-95) and studied at the University of Salford's School of Media, Music and Performance.

Although primarily active in television he has also appeared in film and radio.

During the BBC's Shakespeare Retold season in late 2005, he played Patroclus in a BBC Radio 3 adaptation of Troilus and Cressida. He voiced a character in Heading It Like Mooney a short sports-themed radio play broadcast on BBC Radio Five Live in 2004, which had been commissioned by the BBC's Writer's Room[1].

In film, he appeared in the short film Hawk (2000), and in the feature Mouth to Mouth (2004). He plays the male lead in the musical film Across the Universe]], and George Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl, which will both be released in 2007.

Sturgess will star in the upcoming film, 21 based on the 2002 Ben Mezrich best seller, Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions. The film tells the story of a card counting group of incredibly bright students from MIT who developed a card counting method that ensured huge wins in Vegas. Scribes Allan Loeb and Peter Steinfeld adapted the book into a screenplay.
