Jim Starr

Jim Starr began life as Jim Kalafat (February 21, 1962 – ) in Great Falls, Montana. He attended C. M. Russell High School. He and his wife Tonya have 3 children.

He starred as Laser on the American television program American Gladiators from 1990 through 1996. He had the longest run of any "gladiator" on the show. Though he was extremely competitive in all events, his strongest were considered to be the Pyramid and Wall.

Prior to his stint on American Gladiators he was an All-American linebacker at Montana State University. He later played a couple of short stints in the NFL and CFL.
