Jim Cash was one half of the most commercially successful screenwriting team in Hollywood history. Jim Cash and writing partner, Jack Epps Jr. was credited of writing a string of marketable and successful films, including “Top Gun” (1986), “Legal Eagles” (1986) and “Turner and Hooch”(1989). Even though their scripts were not widely hailed by critics they were sought out by major movie studios for “green light” projects, which attracted many “A list” actors including Tom Cruise, Robert Redford, and Tom Hanks. Later in his life, Jim Cash and his wife, Cynthia Cash, returned to live in East Lansing, Michigan. He seemed to be very fond of the East Lansing Community and Michigan State University where he taught previously taught writing courses at. He died on March 25, 2000.
