Jikkyou Power Pro Yakyuu series

Jikkyou Power Pro Yakyuu, (J:実況パワフルプロ野球 Jikkyō Pawafuru Puro Yakyū), Live Powerful Pro Baseball, simply called Power Pro to non-Japanese speakers, is a Japan-only baseball series created by Konami. It is known for its big-headed characters, and addictive arcade-style gameplay. It is long running in Japan, starting out in 1994 for the Super Famicom. The game has also appeared on Nintendo 64(1997 to 2001), PlayStation(1995 to 2001), PlayStation 2(from 2002 to the present) and GameCube(also from 2002 to the present). There are also pocket versions for Game Boy Color, GBA, and Nintendo DS, called Power Pro-kun Pocket first appearing in 1999, and a full sized version for the PSP. The game is on its 13th iteration on console (PS2, GC, and PSP) AND its 8th on handheld (DS and GBA). On May 12, 2006, A version of Power Pro was released featuring Major League Baseball players. This version is called Jikkyō Power Pro Major League.
The PS2 versions of Power Pro (since 11) is online, and The DS version (8) uses Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection service.
There is a version announced for the PlayStation 3, first at TGS 2005.
Based on comments from Hiroshi Tanibuchi, the series' creator, A possible version for Nintendo's Wii is planned.
