- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}

I'm assuming (from your user name) that you're Jonathan Flegg, a staffer for Gordon Moyes. Taking this into account, and your edits so far, you should take the time to read Wikipedia:Autobiography. Wikipedia requires that images uploaded are either fair use or are free-licenced (copyleft). You must provide appropriate copyright information and Image copyright tags when uploading images or they will be removed.
Happy editing! Feel free to ask any questions on my talk page if need be. michael talk 02:11, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Punctuation
I know it's a trivial issue in the scheme of things, but I just have to ask: Why do you keep removing the full-stops from Rev. and Hon. in Gordon Moyes?
In standard Australian (all Commonwealth, as far as I'm aware) usage, the full-stop is necessary if the abbreviation omits the last letter of the word e.g. Rev.; if the abbreviation includes the last letter, the full-stop is omitted e.g. Mr or Dr . The only way to leave out the full stop would be to make it Revd, which is rare nowadays. Besides, Wikipedia has a manual of style that agrees with me that the full stops are necessary on both Rev. and Hon.
Sorry to be so pedantic about such trifles but it makes Wikipedia look a little more professional when these things are done correctly. Nick 14:03, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:DebnamOfficial.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:DebnamOfficial.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 20:33, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
