Judaism has its own system of measurement that is basically the same between the talmud and tanach. The system is not entirely understood in that most rabbis disagree as to the exact measurements.

Amah" - (pl. "amot")ie. cubit; six tefachim approximately 48 centimeters, or 18-19.2 inches. corresponding to about 384 inches or 32 feet.

"Tefach" - (pl. "tefachim"); a unit of length, approximately equal to 8 centimeters, or 3.2 inches.

"shekel" - (pl. shkalim) The shekel was a specific weight of silver that moshe rabeinu instituted asthestandard coinage. Chazon Ish calculates it as 16 grams or .51 troy ounces of pure silver.
