[edit] Welcome
Hello Jeus, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! [edit] You missed some articles.
You missed Zionist terrorism and Israeli terrorism. Jayjg (talk) 8 July 2005 19:03 (UTC)
[edit] Consistency, NPOV and 3RR
- You seem to misunderstand NPOV policy. If a spokesman said "terrorism", you cannot simply change the text to "violence".
- When you change [1] Palestinian terrorism to Palestinian violence (even though most of the violence is deliberate murder of civilians) but add [2] RC's death as Israeli terrorism, (even though they claim it was an accident) you show double standard. What's your criteria: race or religion?
- You may be banned for breaking 3RR. ←Humus sapiens←Talk 07:55, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
- I believe you once accumulated seven revisions within a three hour period on a Pal/Isr article, HS. Be reasonable. Jeus 16:11, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
A trick to watch out for is "cluster reverts" where a couple of the (very) like minded POV pushers serially revert your changes (each staying below 3 reverts) and then if you alter their reverts squeal "3RR rule". Its silly but you just have to laugh a little at the effort they are expending, take a days rest then revert back. Play by the letter of the rules - just like they do. 62.253.64.14 22:44, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
Honestly - there is a little group that seem to push (very) pro Israel POV in the face of all reason. Dont let it pee you off. Just play within the rules - smile and chiop away with reasoned arguement and quality posts. 62.253.64.14 23:29, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] 3RR warning
Hi Joey, you're either about to, or have already, violated the three-revert rule at Rachel Corrie. It's best to try to gain consensus for your edits on talk. If you continue reverting, or if you violate 3RR again elsewhere, you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Cheers, SlimVirgin (talk) 20:40, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
- No, usually it's fine just to go ahead and edit. But where you find yourself getting involved in multiple reverts, it's best to stop, take a break, then try to find a compromise on the talk page. In this case, I restored the sentence you deleted, but I deleted Palestinian terror and just replaced it with the Palestinians. I think saying Palestinian terror or violence would perhaps be more accurate, because it wasn't the Palestinians per se who were being blamed, but Palestinian violence looked a bit odd for some reason, and terror had been objected to. If you'd prefer violence, I'd have no objection myself.
- This article was at the center of a long-running dispute, which is why editors are a bit jumpy about it. SlimVirgin (talk) 20:55, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Israeli terrorism
You have been warned numerous times that your edits are pov propaganda. If you cannot abide by the rules you will be reverted, and very soon banned from editing at all.

- Hi Joey, I haven't looked at the edits yet, but I'd say the photograph is POV, and it would be a gesture of goodwill to remove it. I know it's a powerful photograph and it's good to have pages well-illustrated, so I understand why you want it, but it's a difficult photograph to use in a way that's definitely fair and neutral. I'll take a look at the other edits shortly. SlimVirgin (talk) 23:27, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Elwan.jpg
Hi. When uploading images, you should always add your source and a clarification of the use terms (fair use, own photo, etc.); otherwise, people will probably object on copyright grounds sooner or later. Since it's on IfD, it would be particularly good to take care of this for Elwan.jpg sometime soon. - Mustafaa 00:42, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks. Ideally you should also pick an appropriate tag from Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and put it on the image; it's not clear to me whether this constitutes fair use or not (I'm not too familiar with press copyright issues), but that's your call. - Mustafaa 00:54, 14 July 2005 (UTC)

- Sorry, but GFDL is intended for images that you own the rights to, or that no one owns. To add that to this image, you would have to contact its original source and get their permission to release it under this license (unless you were the photographer.) Fair use is more probable. - Mustafaa 01:09, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
Hey, keep editing the israeli terror article good job. Ill help. --Doge120 15:14, 14 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Sockpuppetry
I've blocked you for 24 hours for abusive and deceptive sockpuppetry - please read Wikipedia:Sock puppet. I've also blocked all the sock accounts I could find. Please don't do this sort of thing again - David Gerard 09:27, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
