JetConnect is an airline based in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a subsidiary company of Qantas Airways, based in New Zealand. It was established in July 2002 and started operations in October 2002. It operates services between New Zealand and Australia, as well as domestic services. [1]

Jetconnect operate domestic flights in New Zealand under the Qantas brand, using Jetconnect Aircraft and Crew, and service Auckland, Wellington, Rotorua, Christchurch, and Queenstown.

JetConnect Shorthaul Crew and Aircraft also operates all international flights to and from Wellington , and some to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. The airline is also responsible for crewing Jetstar fights based out of Christchurch to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Coolangatta.

Jetconnect employs Cabin Crew based out of Auckland, who make up crew complement on Qantas flights throughout the Longhaul Network. The crew operate as contractors who are therefore cheaper to employ than Australian based full-time employees.

Boeing 737-400s from Qantas Australia are gradually replacing the 737-300s, which are being converted into freighters in Australia.
