[edit] areography

hi Jespley, and welcome to Wikipedia! :)

you're concerned about 'a page already being taken'.. the way it works, is that for some articles, like Geography of Mars, are redirected to another page (in this case Areography, at the time of my writing this).. to access the Geography of Mars page, after being redirected, it will say "Redirected from Geography of Mars" at the very top of the article.. so if you click that link, then you'll get to the true page, which you'll be able to change.

of course there's no problem in being bold, which is what all newcomers are told to do; but if you're thinking of changing the name of a fairly large article, it's probably a good idea to have consensus first so you don't go messing up links, and find that afterwards you'll want to go change them all back anyway, which go be somewhat of a hassle.

in any case, welcome! :D Mlm42 18:22, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
