Jesus Ricardo Iglesias

Jesus Ricardo Iglesias (February 22, 1922 - July 11, 2005) was born in Pergamino near Buenos Aires in Argentina. He excelled in long distance races with a Chevrolet Special and was asked to handle one of the works Gordinis Type 16 in the 1955 Argentina GP.

He qualified 17th out of 22 competitors but had to retire on lap 38 due to transmission troubles although he also seemed to be on the brink of exhaustion because of the broiling heat.

After that it was back to long distance racing in which he earned some glory by taking 2nd place in the Rafaelo 500-mile race in 1956.
