The song "Jesus Freak" is the title track to the 1995 CD by Christian band dc Talk. It is their most well-known song, although they have produced many others. The song is about the 1970's generic term. dc Talk frontman Toby McKeehan said that when he was looking up the word "freak" in the dictionary, he saw an entry that said "ardent enthusiast". Since then, many dc Talk fans wear products with the term to events featuring any of the three dc Talk solo projects.

The song has been covered, specifically by Larry Norman himself, and by other bands of the Christian rock genre.
