Jesse Glover

Jesse Raymond Glover was Bruce Lee's first student and first assistant instructor in the United States. Glover was a psychology major . He met Lee in 1959, as they both attended Edison High School[1], and was the one who first taught Lee judo.
Now residing in Seattle, Washington, Glover is working as an author, martial arts instructor (private), and doing some seminars.

- Jesse met Bruce Lee in 1959.
- Jesse Glover was a champion judoka.
- Jesse had also been a boxing champion while he was in the US Air Force.
- Jesse started a Gung-fu class of his own and Leroy Garcia and James DeMile came along and assisted him. This has great historical importance as, this was the first ever independent Jun Fan arts related class, and Jesse Glover was the first authorized martial arts instructor to be trained by Bruce Lee.
- Jesse Glover has developed his own method which he calls Non-Classical Gung-Fu.
