Jersey Round Tower
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Round Towers on the island of Jersey were build from the end of the 18th century. In total 31 towers were build, but now only 24 remain all along the coast.
The decision to build the towers was made bij the governor, Henry Seymour Conway because the defence of the island was regarded insufficent after the Battle of Jersey.
