Jerry Minor

Jerry Minor (b. October 4, 1969 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American comedian who was a featured player on Saturday Night Live for one season.
Minor was born in Memphis but grew up in Flint, Michigan. He started doing stand-up and writing/performing with sketch groups in Detroit. He then joined the Second City - Detroit Mainstage Company. After writing and performing in three reviews, he joined the Chicago Second City for two shows and then one review at Toronto Second City. Jerry is the only performer to belong to all three of The Second City's companies.
Minor was on SNL from October 7, 2000 through the season finale in 2001. He was fired along with Chris Parnell by Lorne Michaels during the summer before the 2001-2002 season because Michaels wanted to hire four new cast members, but did not want to go over budget. Minor is also credited as a writer for SNL.
Minor appeared on The Daily Show in 2006 as a Correspondent.
Minor is also known for his appearances on HBO's Mr. Show. His impressions include Grand Master Flex, Jimi Hendrix, and Al Sharpton.
Minor was a regular on the HBO series Lucky Louie as comedian Louis CK's neighbor, until the show was canceled in september of 2006.
