Jerry Fielden

Jerry Fielden (May 6, 1957-) is a Montreal, Canada, guitarist and songwriter for AraPacis and for Miranie Morissette. He also has written lyrics for several Canadian bands.

Jerry first got involved in music in 1965, when he first heard the Beatles' Help album and decided that career was for him. He played his first public concert in 1971. His early bands included the Glow Beats, Time Perception, Landslide and Nighwatch in Montreal from 1969-1980, then Steelfield and Riser in Toronto from 1981-1987. Jerry returned to Montreal and released three albums: The Hunt (1998), Children of the Night (2000) and The Mime (2001). He founded the female fronted Gothic/Hard Rock/Prog Metal band AraPacis in 2003 and has been touring with this band ever since. Their first album "So Many Leapers" was released in April 2006.

He also had a career as a photographer, published in several Canadian newspapers and magazines (such as L'Express de Toronto, Canadian Musician, Graffiti, Photo Selection, etc.) and also did two Anvil album covers (Past and Present: Live in Concert and Plenty of Power).

Jerry also played a musician in the Quebec film Pour le meilleur et pour le pire (1975), directed by Claude Jutra.

Jerry is the son of author Charlotte Fielden and her editor. He has recently edited A THIN PLACE, which was released in October 2006, and AN AGE WITHOUT A NAME, the sequel to MESSAGES LIKE MEMORIES to be released early next year.
