Jeremy Harris Living Library
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Jeremy Harris Living Library is a collection of books in the library at L'Arche Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was established in January 2005 by family and friends to honour the treasured contribution of Jeremy Harris as an assistant in this community.
On January 1, 2005, a young man named Jeremy Harris died at the age of 24 as the result of an automobile accident. An alumni of Sydney Academy (1998) and Mount Allison University (2002), Jeremy was an exceptionally bright, cheerful, caring young man who had many gifts and talents. He held a honors degree in biology and volunteered for a summer at two hospitals in Somaliland. Even in death his generosity continued with his organ and tissue donations.
