Jennifer Wood

Jennifer Wood is a businesswoman in Western Canada. In her early twenties, she paid for university working as a bush plane pilot throughout northern Alberta and Manitoba. At home in Alberta, Jennifer worked in the cattle industry. She is a professional agrologist who has headed up one of Western Canada's oldest cattle buying, financing and feeding businesses which was established in 1916. She then co-founded Cattle & Co. Investments Inc., a company that specializes in cattle feeding and financing. Jennifer’s beef products appear in retail outlets across North America, and come from the more than 20,000 cattle she owns in feedlots across western Canada, including her own sprawling 6,500-acre Alberta ranch. Wood works with Viewtrak Technologies, a software company that tracks critical livestock production data via the Internet.
Jennifer is a recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Award, as well as being a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Prairies.
Jennifer is one of the Dragons on the popular Canadian version of the television show Dragon's Den which airs on CBC Television and CBC Newsworld.
