Jendo

Jendo is a Filipino martial art that utilizes empty hand, sticks and bladed weapons as a means of self-defense. Jendo was originated in Mandaluyong, a small city located in the central part of Luzon Island of the Philippines. It was founded by Grandmaster Jonathan "June" Makiling Abaya. Jendo was one of the very few Filipino martial arts able to pass the screening and requirements of the Philippine Sports Commission. It was approved by the Philippine Sports Commission for registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1996 as an original Filipino Martial Art.
