Hey, guys.
My given name is James, but my friends got into the habit of calling me Jems. It happens to work well as a username, so I've stuck with it. I'm a student in Montreal with vague aspirations to make something of my ideas in whichever medium suits them best. In my life, I've dabbled in the realm of cartooning, written a collection of short stories, maintained a blog about the lighter side of things and willingly made a fool of myself for fun and profit.
I have two cats, Chunky Monkey and Puss Puss, whose tummies I have nuzzled more times than they would realistically permit.

I joined Wikipedia in July 2005 after nearly two years of making minor edits to grammar and spelling, sometimes going so far as to add educated tidbits to established articles. I've emerged from the shadow of my dynamic IP address with the intention to make greater contributions to the hustle and bustle of the Wiki. Rest assured, stupid user page jokes made with the help of Wiki formatting will come in due time.
