The Jehoshua Movement popularised by Rabbi Ben Pandera remembered the title Moses gave the Ephraimite Hoshea Ben Nun, and understood it as a position of office heralding the messianic era. It is connected to the ideas of "the Messiah Ben Joseph" and "the feet of the messenger".
