Jehoel

Jehoel (also called Jahoel, Shemuel, Kemual, and Yaoel) in Jewish Angelology is a member of the Angels of Presence, who mediates the ineffable name of God.^[1] The name Jehoel may have been an early form of Metatron. Jehoel is said to be the chief angel of the Seraphim,^[2] and governs heavenly singing. He is responsible for holding in check Leviathan,^[3] the monster of evil who will swallow the souls of sinners on Judgement Day.^[4]
