From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jeffrey Lang is currently a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kansas. His MS and PhD are from Purdue University. He converted to Islam in the early 1980s. In addition to numerous articles, he has written three books that are widely read among American Muslims.
Lang was born in a Roman Catholic family in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Jan 30, 1954. Although he went to a catholic school, by the time Jeffrey was 18, he was an atheist. He later converted to Islam and admits that he finds much spiritual satisfaction being a Muslim.
Lang married a Saudi Muslim woman, Raika. He has written several books on Islam, which are best sellers among the Muslim community in the US.[citation needed] In his book “Even Angels ask; A journey to Islam in America” he shares with his readers the many insights that have unfolded for him through his self discovery and progress within the religion of Islam.
