[edit] Biography
[edit] Early life
Gilbert was born in Long Beach, California, and grew up in a Christian home. His parents gave him his first drum set when he was nine. He and his brother were both in Seven Places, and they got a record deal with Tooth and Nail Records right after Gilbert graduated from high school.
[edit] Music career
Jeffrey Gilbert was the original the drummer of the Christian rock band Seven Places, who released two full-length ablums. However, the band broke up in 2005. Two members of another Christian rock band, Kutless, left the band at this time as well. Gilbert then joined Kutless in late 2005, along with the bassist of Seven Places, Dave Leutkenhoelter. This was shortly after Kutless had released their third full-length album, Strong Tower. In 2006, Gilbert and Leutkenhoelter recorded the band's fourth album with them. The album is titled Hearts of the Innocent.
After Seven Places broke up, Gilbert joined Kutless, and still plays for them now. Gilbert currently lives in Portland, Oregon.
