Jeff Woollard

Jeff Woollard of Lowell, Ohio (born 1953) is an American politician of the Democratic party, seeking election to the US House of Representatives 18th Ohio district seat, which is currently held by Republican Bob Ney.

[edit] Early life
Jeff Woollard was born Feb. 17, 1953, and raised in Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio, the son of Franklin Delano and Anna Marie Woollard. After graduating from Bellaire High School in 1971, Woollard attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, Woollard earned a Master's of Science in Manufacturing Management.

Jeff Woollard has never been a politician. He is an automotive engineer, management consultant, technical writer, industrial educator and successful real estate developer. He has been a leader in the development and use of computer modeling technologies as applied to manufacturing systems.
Jeff worked sixteen years for General Motors (1971-1987) at the GM Tech Center (Fisher Body Division) in various engineering capacities, and eight years (1987-1995) as a manager for an engineering firm providing services to GM and the Ford Motor Company. He is currently self-employed (Write Away Technical Services LLC), developing and delivering training programs to UAW/CAW Skilled Trades personnel across the U.S. and Canada, and writing Operation/Maintenance manuals for automated manufacturing systems.

Jeff married Lynne Slotwinski from Stewartsville, Belmont County, Ohio on Aug. 25, 1973. Lynne is the Director of Materials Management at Selby General Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. They have no children, three dogs, and frequently adopt pets from local shelters.
[edit] Policy Positions
Woollard is the author of several innovative bills he plans introduce to Congress upon election.
The goal of his Fiscal Recovery Act is to reduce consumption, reduce dependence on foreign oil, enhance our national security, improve the environment, promote fairness in taxation and simplify the tax code.
Woollard also proposes to Declare War on Corporate Warfare. On this issue, Woollard says "Our government is starved in tax revenue while our financial obligations have never been greater. Carnival Cruise lines has taken advantage of tax loopholes to avoid nearly a half-billion dollars in taxes, and it is only one example of such practices."
