Jeff Richards (born October 21, 1974) is an American comedian. He is the first and only person to be a cast member on both Saturday Night Live and its rival show on FOX, MADtv.

[edit] Early years

Richards was born in Walnut Creek, California. He graduated from high school there in 1993. He then went on to host a morning radio show and created a public access television sketch comedy show in the Bay Area. He then moved on to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he began stand-up comedy during a study abroad in Italy. After graduation he hit the road on motorcycle with his backpack performing across the United States. In 1997 he settled in Los Angeles and was a hit on the competitive Hollywood comedy scene.
