Duport was a noted musician/composer for a rather unimportant instrument - the cello. Some investigation on internet results in:

- 8 cds with works from him at Amazon.com
- several webpages with biographies
- an elaborate page on the French Wikipedia

Wikipedia has a lot of biographies of people who are much more obscure. So I see no reason at all to delete this page as someone suggested and I removed the importance tag.
