Jeanne d'Arc is a short silent film about Joan of Arc. The medieval film removes the viewer from spatial relations and institutionalized the use of the close-up.

Released in 1899, Jeanne d'Arc, was one of the earliest films ever made. It was written and directed by Georges Méliès.
